12th August, 2014, RAF Coningsby – home of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight – to witness the Second World War bombers reunited for the first time in 50 years.‘Thumper’ – the BBMF’s own Lancaster – was joined by ‘Vera’, which flew from Canada especially for the historic and emotional occasion.
